Yesterday I decided to do watercolour for almost the first time in my life. Well I don't really count grade seven art, since I gave up on that part and decided to use pastel.
So I found a photograph to recreate. It was of my grandfather and his dog when she was a puppy before he had alzheimer's disesase. He recently passed away so I thought it was appropriate to present to my dad for his upcoming birthday.
I sketched out the photograph on the paper and it turned out wonderful!
But then the real challenge came. Actually using the watercolour.
Well it wasn't a complete fail but I still think it was terrible. My mum will adore it as she does for anything I do -_-" but I know that my dad will critique it (which is pleasing to some extent) since he is an artist himself.
Well I will try it again and hope that I actually get the proper consistency of the paint instead of it still being half thick and half watercolour.
